There’s nothing quite like the season of winter, and for the first in 8 years I will finally be able to enjoy this magnificently soothing season! The following is my list of things I love and cannot wait for about winter!
1.Tracksuit Pants
There’s nothing quite like slipping on a warm and cuddly pair of old comfortable tracksuit pants and curling up around the heater, or snuggling under a blanket with a marvellous book.
2.Warm Showers
There’s nothing better than waking up, shivering from the cold and rushing for a nice warming, soothing shower. One of the best ways to relax in the winter!
3.Dryer’s
When I was little, and used to live in Sydney, every day before school my mother used to put both mine and my brothers clothes in the dryer so they would be nice and toasty warm for school! Of all my winter memories this one is by far my favourite and something I will be immensely looking forward to!
4.An Excuse to Cuddle
Ever wanted an excuse to cuddle up to that certain someone, without appearing as though you like them? Then here comes winter! It’s an absolutely perfect excuse; and hardly as cliché as ‘I’m Cold!’ like in the movies!
5.Beanies
However unattractive they may seem to some; I think that beanies are one of the coolest winter garments since....well EVER! Yes, they are functional! But you can do so many things with beanies , so many colours, so many designs, the possibilities are endless!(Trust me- your reading this from the girl who made drove with her mother all the way down to Alice Springs to see the National Beanie Festival! And yes! I got a magnificant beanie!)
6.Cold Dark Day’s
I admit that ‘cold dark days’ aren’t exactly everybody’s cup of tea but I am absolutely addicted to them and in Timor let’s just say they are limited! These ‘cold dark days’ combined with a good book, a chai latte, and a nice comfy blanket is complete bliss!
7.The Perfect Scary Movement Environment
You don’t want to go outside into the blistering windy cold; you don’t want to move from your comfortable position curled up on the couch! What better thing to do then turn on a scary movie and watch as the lights dims and so does the TV screen! All you need now is popcorn!
8.Snow Ball Fight’s(If you are so lucky!)
I can say I have never been privilege to one myself; but I hope that that will change within the next year! Nothing sounds more fun than to run around in the snow and wait for the cold wet ball of death to slap you in the face!
9.Hot Chocolate
On principle Hot Chocolate has the reputation of being good all year round, but its devious affects seem to be heightened in the WINTER! The warm velvety smoothness of the chocolate is simply irresistible!
