100 Amazing Things We Don't Notice- Part 9

81. 'Untying Knots'
Your feeble attempts to pull on your old school shoes is dismal when you realise; there in the middle of your shoelace is a knot. Yes thats right, a knot. The big stringy, tangled mess of death. You pull a the ends nothing happens, you attempt to break through the middle but its just not going to work, you(like I have many atimes), race to the kitchen in need of a fork to untie the iron cage! You strugle, you take a dramatic 'hero pause' to wipe your brow and furiosly continue working until viola! It's gone, it's out, and from now on you can walk around feeling empowred all day!

82. 'Laying In Bed Listening to the Rain'
You laying in bed, desperatly trying to sleep and if you can't sleep, your searching for something to cure your boredem, to cure the silence that has encased your room! And then you hear something, its getting louder and louder and louder until you bolt upright in bed and listen to the magnificant sound of the rain pouring above your head and the frogs croaking beside your winder like a chorus in your choir!

83. 'Crying'
I know, strange huh? I mean there are two different types of crying, sad crying and happy crying........but the release you get from both of them is the same! Theres nothing good about keeping things bottled up and whats the only way to let it out? Cry thats what! So next time your hurt or your so deleriously happy....cry! Because theres nothing quite like the feeling you get after crying, your calm, your relaxed, and your ready to take on the world!

84. 'Popping Bubble Wrap'
You've just got your new fridge dilivered, or your family has mercifuly changd the old beat down televsion! But whats even better? Lying their on the ground-discared is a shiny plastic piece of bubble wrap, calling to you! Pop me! Pop me! So you sneak away to your prize and pop! You can do the one-at-a-time pop; or if you have a long enough roll you can do the walk-and-pop, or my personal favourite the mega-pop! Which envolves bundling it into a ball and jumping on it! So go on poppers! Pop away!

85. 'Whales'(Curtsey of my Aunt)
I am a big lover of whales-ALL whales! Now this is more of a dream of something that could be tottaly and utterly awsome-being able to see real whales in the wild! Swimming and living as if unaware of our interference!
Fact: At least one fifth of Japanese school children are regularly served whale meat for lunch.

86. "The Smell of Fresh Fruit'
Theres something about the smell of fresh fruit growing outside your window! The strawberries beconing to you with their lucious colour! The green apples in the back garden glistening with dew drops in the afternoon soon! And the knowledge that soon not only this fresh fruit but also it fresh fruity smell will be finding its way onto your breafast table in the form of something delicious!

87. 'Comfy Chairs'
Simple; yes. Replaceable; Absolutly not! Where would we be without the sweet luzuary of gorgeous comfy pillows and old chairs filled with fluff that dates back atleast ten years(plenty of time for previous owners to squish the previous hard chair into cosy gloriousness. Without thia we would be back in the stone age sitting on rocks, without a cushion in site!

88.'Mcdonalds Toys'
When I was little we used to have 'weekly sleepovers' with my Nan and Pop and one of the traditions? McDonalds for dinner! My brother would order a big burger and fries, just like my Pop; but me and my nan? We ordered Happy Meals! Thats right the sloppy wet cheeseburger, the almost cold fries were all endured...for what you ask? That shiny plastic toy! The mini-barbie with her plastic hair. The mini blue-red racing car with rickty wheel that wouldn't run straight. That was the days of my childhood and my nan still has them!

89.'When the Drink You Order at the Resturant Comes With Food'
Recently I was sitting at a Cafe with my family; waiting for our drink order. One beer, one wine, one water, and one Latte for me...then Voila! They arrive along with a little plate of biscuts or maybe some salted peanuts or whats that some trailmix? I'll admit proably not the most delicious thing....but its free, it tastes good, and theres also that knowledge that even the waiters dont think that you should eat alone!

90.'Kissing A Fish'
I must confess that I am not much of a fisher; my idea of an ideal day is curled up reading a book under the doonas; while for my brother and father; the ideal day is out on the ocean with the sun blazing in their eyes and the wind beating at there backs! However I remember the first time I went fishing and I actually caught something, a fish infact! It was orange and slippery and slimy and my father than said, 'You have to kiss it!" Me being a six year old girl, with a love of barbies and all things pink was disgusted! But after some eventual convicing I kissed it! I will never forget the taste of its saltiness and the feel of its slipperyness! But as I have grown older I have realised it could be considered an intiation into the world of fishing!
